ResEd Staff Mandatory Training Events:

The Department of Residential Education & Housing requires all employees to participate in an annual on-boarding and training process, for all new and returning employees. This includes:

• Signing an employment agreement form at the start of employment. (See your Offer Email)
• Completing your onboarding process with HR Student Employment. (See your Taleo Account)
• Attend the annual DA employee training date (Released at the start of each semester).
• Attend meetings as necessary set by the Student Manager of Residential Operations and your RD Supervisor.
  • There will be monthly meetings each month to be set by your management team. These meetings are meant to:

• • • check-in and update scheduling shifts
    • increase efficiency and customer service in the service areas and night desk;
    • Answer questions about unclear policies and procedures;
    • Identify your teammates and be comfortable with each other so as issues arise you know who can assist you.

12:30-1:30pm Education 115 –Time Keeping Methods | All hourly staff and Student Mangers

1:30- 2:15pm Education 115- Student Staff Performance Guidelines | All hourly staff and Student Mangers

2:30-4:00pm Locations Below –  Assignment Breakout Sessions | All hourly staff and Student Mangers

Requests to Miss Training: 

Because of the nature of this position, a Request to Miss Training Form must be filled out and submitted to the Department for approval.

Email the completed form with as much detail as possible to your Residence Director & resedstaff@tcnj.edu at your earliest convenience.  The last day to submit a Request to Miss Training is August 21st,  2023. 

A makeup training will be required for all approved requests to miss.
